All month Isabelle has been singing
"We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New DAY."
Here's a little video of her singing it to me.
(toward the end she launches into the song "ten little monkey's jumpin on the bed")
This clip gives you an idea of the energy and exuberance of this child.
She runs around the house all day long getting into mischief
and never seems to lose steam.
When Izzy was one year old we took her to Lainey's ballet recital,
but it was pretty late at night and I assumed she would sleep through it.
She was rockin out to all the fun music despite her fatigue,
and literally fell asleep in the middle of a dance move.
Her head slumped down like she had
passed out!
We had a fun New Years Eve at our house.
Take out Chinese food, snacks, chocolate, board games,
and lots of Cherry Coke.
At midnight we pulled out the good stuff-Martinelli's. ;)

This party was off the leash!
The kids held strong and stayed up until midnight to watch the ball drop
and bang pots and pans outside.
Luke was the only one who didn't make it.
Cousin Ethan stayed the night, and my Mom brought our
longtime friend Jan Turner
over for games and dessert.
We had a great (and long) game of "Ticket to Ride,"
with Travis actually winning by one point.
I was up until 4am playing Mario on Lainey's new DSi after everyone went to bed.
(I couldn't sleep after the Coca Cola- my body is very sensitive to caffeine)
